This is a storyboard of the book The Lottery. This storyboard is by Anthony Packo
Rising Action 1
The Northern village wants to give up the lottery.
Rising Action 2
The children of the small village gather stones. However, the reader doesn't know what they're for yet.
It isn't fair! It isn't right!
The villagers including Mr. Adams and Old Man Warner talk of the northern village that is thinking of quitting the lottery. Old Man Warner says that they're crazy to think that.
Come on, come on, everyone.
In this part the villagers start to draw paper slips from the Black Box. The audience doesn't know what this means, but all of the men, who drew for their families are nervous.
The Hutchinson family is the family that has "won" the lottery. Tessie Hutchinson doesn't think that its fair and everyone else is anxious to find out who "won."
In this part of the story everyone from the Hutchinson family draws a slip of paper. Tessie has the piece of paper with a dot on it. She has "won" the lottery and therefore is going to be killed.
In this part of the book Tessie is stoned to death. This, in my opinion, is a sad, and disturbing ending to an interesting story. Mr. Adams and Old Man Warner are the ones leading the crowd of villagers.
