  • "Either thou or I, or both, must go with him."
  • Act III, Scene 2
  • "O serpent heart hid with a flow'ring face!"
  • "Tybalt is gone and Romeo banishéd."
  • Act III, Scene 3
  • "'Tis torture and not mercy."
  • "This is dear mercy, and thou seest not."
  • Romeo and Tybalt fight after Mercutio was killed. Romeo says that at least one of them must go with Mercutio, and then kills Tybalt.
  • Act III, Scene 4
  • "O' Thursday, tell her, She shall be married to this noble earl. "
  • Juliet hears the news from the Nurse that Tybalt has died and Romeo has been banished. She proceeds to become very angry at Romeo because he was the one who killed Tybalt.
  • Act III, Scene 5
  • "Get thee to church o' Thursday, or never after look me in the face."
  • Romeo tells Friar Lawrence that banishment is not merciful because it is away from Juliet. He also says that he would rather die, but eventually Friar Lawrence convinces him otherwise.
  • Capulet talks to Count Paris when he shows up at their door. He says that he would allow Paris to marry to Juliet on Thursday because she would listen to what he told her.
  • Capulet is very upset with Juliet because she refuses to marry Count Paris. He yells at her and tells her if she doesn't she will get thrown out of the house.
