Storyboard Text

  • I shall name her Aurelia meaning "the golden one".
  • Our first child is born!
  • Oh no, our crops! We must find another job!
  • I must help my parents!
  • Alright, I accept.
  • I can help with the hardships you're facing. Do you wish to be a servant for my son, Jabari?
  • In a faraway town in Rome, Aurelia was born to parents who were both farmers. They gave her this name meaning “the golden one” since she was their only surviving child.
  • Something dangerous might happen!
  • No, you can't leave!
  • Please mother and father. I have to leave!
  • The family lived a prosperous and joyful life for many years until when Aurelia was eighteen, a drought occurred which caused the crops to die and the parents to seek another job. Aurelia also wanted to assist them.
  • Welcome back master and greetings Aurelia.
  • I will change your view on Romans, Jabari.
  • So the following morning, Aurelia immediately set out to search for a job in town. When she arrived, she encountered a nobleman from Cairo, Egypt named Darius. He took pity on the hardships she suffered from. This was why he offered her a job as servant to his son, Jabari. Aurelia accepted it.
  • This is the new servant, Aurelia from Rome.
  • Hello! Nice to meet you
  • Why did you bring her here father? I despise foreigners!
  • When she returned home and told them about this, her mother and father were both extremely fearful and reluctant for Aurelia to leave them. Later on though, she managed to persuade them.
  • Aurelia and the pharaoh then travelled to Cairo. Upon arrival at the grand townhouse, Aurelia and the pharaoh were welcomed by servants.
  • Darius  introduced Aurelia to Jabari and the other two female servants she would be working with. As soon as the nobleman’s son laid his eyes on her, he was filled with disgust and hatred. After hearing this, Aurelia was now determined to change the prince’s view on Romans.
