  • HI I am Jeo and I will teach you how the respiratory system works today
  • First off, Air (O2) enters your body through your nasal and oral passages.  They meet at the pharynx and have to go through the larynx (Voice Box) to get to the trachea.  To make sure no food goes in the lungs the Epiglottis covers the path to the lungs
  • The Bronchi tubes split the trachea so it can get to both the right and left lung.  In the lung the bronchi tube splits into Bronchioles tube.   
  • The bronchi tubes bring O2 to the alveoli.  The ribs protect the lungs.  The diaphragm makes you breathe by changing the pressure.

  • After that the CO2 needs to get out of your body.  It gets out of your body by leaving the alveoli and going through the bronchioles tubes to go back to the Bronchi tubes.
