- The problem is 8/12x2/6.
- Ok. First we should simplify it. 8/12 can be simplified to 2/3 and 2/6 can be 1/3
- So we have to cross multiply. Multiplying 2 and 1 first. Then we do 3 and 3.
- Which means our answer would be 2/9.
- Who wants pizza? I have 3/4 of one left.
- So we should use keep change flip. We keep the 3/4 change division to multiplication and then flip to 1/5.
- There is 5 of us. Which means we have to divide the pizza into an equal amount for all of us.
- Now that that is figured out we should multiply across.
- So therefore our product would end in everyone getting 3/20 of the pizza.
- We have 1/2 the bag of party savors to split amongst your 9 friends. So we need to divide them evenly to each person.
- Ok. First we should flip my friends fraction into 1/9. Now we should multiply that by the half bag.
- Good job. So how many party favors should each of your friends get?
- So the fraction would be 1/18 so each person should get 1/18 of the bag.
- Ok. 9 times 2 is 18 and 1 times 1 is 1.
