Storyboard Text

  • Hey man, I need a lil bit of history on Hispanic Heritage Month, and someone told me that you're the guy to go to
  • Well my friend, allow me to help you
  • Interesting, go on
  • Hmm, feels like I'm in History class right now.
  • Hmm, well where do I begin? September 15 was chosen as the starting point for the commemoration because it is the anniversary of independence of five Hispanic countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, who all declared independence in 1821.
  • Hmm, so basically it's a day to pay homage to Hispanic culture?
  • Thank's for allowing me to be of service brother.
  • Lemme simply explain this. It is a time to recognize and celebrate the many contributions, diverse cultures, and extensive histories of the American Latino community.
  • No man thank you, without you I would have been knowledgeless about the history of the Hispanic culture.
  • Sure I guess you can say that
  • Even to this day, it is important to remember our history. Hispanic heritage month is going to be here for generations to come, and if we don't keep it going it will be a disgrace to our culture.
  • Wow I never thought of how important Hispanic heritage month was to the Latino Community. Now understanding the history behind it, I would be able to support the latinos by celebrating with them.
  • You see, its all a matter of paying attention and understanding the history behind Hispanic Heritage month
