When Giles comes into the courtroom to tell the prosecutor that he has found evidence. “I have evidence. Why will you not hear my evidence?” (Miller 84).
Hale tells Danforth that “Excellency, he claims hard evidence for his wife’s defense. I think that in all justice you must-” (Miller 86).
Proctor is trying to conceive Danforth the protector to let his wife go so that she is free. “Excellency, does it not strike upon you that so many of these women have lived so long with such upright reputation my meaning? (Miller 91).
