  • jackson does not deserve to be on the 20 dollar bill
  • 6 reasons why he should not be on the 20 dollar bill  1.  Andero passed a law that puts a tax on inputting  items made of iron or wool that caused outrage in the southern state because they had put all their money into slaves and had no inderitery so they were paying more than the northern states who had a lot of inderesly and because of that the south states threatened to nullify the act and then in 1832 the government passed  a new tariff and in response to that the south states nullified it so jackson passed the force act to use the army and navy to collect taxes but a full blown crisis was averted when congress passed a new tariff and south agreed but because of this the wigs saw jackson of more of a dictator because of using armed tax collectors
  • 2.   thing got worse for him with the repotason of killing indians agent the orders of his superiors and when the southern states made an act to relokat all the indians in georgia, north carolina, flora, mississippi and alabama the indians respond with suing the government and congress agreed that this act overwot the trites they had with the indians and jackson responded by saying “ john marshall has made his decision now let him enforce it so he continued with the indian removal act and forced the indians to walk the trail of tears in the winter where one quarter of them died on the way
  • 3.  After taking office he introduced the spoils system replacing hundreds of perfectly good federal employees with incominet party loyalists
  • 4.  He hated paper money and only trusted gold and silver and help to cause the financial panic of 1837 and the ensuing economic depression with his obsessive war against the bank of the united states
  • 6. he killed a lot the Indians even though most of them supported him were he was running for president 
  • 5. Jefferson called jackson a dangerous man he thought he was a king he didn't care what the public think about him and is a war tirent a gambler and a duelist who did more than any other  presidents and fired four seatorys of state and five secretary of the treasury and so on
