In ancient rome there were the plebeians and patricians. The patricians who made up most of the population were capable of voting people into office. Where as the plebeians were the lower class people that didn't have as much power as the patricians but they were able to veto laws.
After julius caesar's death war broke out and destroyed what was left of the roman republic. Soon after his adopted son octavian joined with mark antony. they took control of rome and ruled for 10 years.
As said earlier there were plebeians and patricians. The plebeians were the lower class people and the patricians being the upper class people. The patricians were walthyland owners who held most of the power plebeians were farmers, merchants, and artisans. Plebeians were farmers, bakers, or craftsmen.
In 63 BCE the Romans took over the judea israel which was where jesus, the son of god, or, the messiah, the chosen one to lead jewish people to freedom, did his preaching. Many people enjoyed his preaching and wanted to hear more. Jesus then went around and taught people the golden rule and many more things that now make up modern day christianity.
Unfortunately the roman empire started to decline: the plebeian reforms failed, the gracchus brothers were killed, and the citizen soldiers become a professional army loyal to commanders.
The Romans built aqueducts, bridges, tunnels, public and private buildings of all kinds and for all purposes which were all brought into the western civilization.
