  • (The Nuremberg laws) It consisted of non-Aryans being banned from legal profession and civil service. Jewish citizens were harassed and subjected to violent attacks. They were also actively suppressed an stripped of their citizenship and civil rights.

  • Destroy all these houses, we must purge the unpure!
  • Being unable to own a house and staying on the streets, we had to beg for money and hide from officers so I would not get taken away. We had starved for months and were in bad condition.

  • One day, my children all got very sick and we had to put them in a Jewish hospital since German hospitals did not allow us to go in.

  • (The Night of Broken Glass) It was a violent riot against Jewish people carried out by SA paramilitary forces and civilians in Nazi Germany. Jewish homes, hospitals and schools were ransacked and demolished with sledgehammers. 91 people were murdered.
  • My family unfortunately enough, was in the hospital they raided and was 4 of the 91 people who were murdered. I rushed in trying to save them but I was too late. The aftermath was brutal. I could not bare to see my family like this.

  • With all hope lost and no purpose in life, I decided to stop hiding away from the officers and let them take me to the concentration camp. I was ready for whatever they would do to me...
