  • We like Jefferson!
  • We like Hamilton!
  • Thomas Jefferson was the main leader for the democrat-republican party.
  • The other party is the Federalists. Major federalist leaders are John Adams and Alexander Hamilton
  • The federalists supported many things. They thought a strong federal government and they thought representatives should be qualified elected leaders.  Washington was a strong supporter of them
  • The Democrat-Republicans believed that ordinary people should fully participate in government.  They interpreted the constitution very strictly.
  • John Adams won the presidency with 71 votes total.
  • Jefferson got second which makes him Vice president with 68 votes total.
  • We have to be making the central government very strong
  • I'm sorry president Adams but i think we should be focusing on getting the residents here to fully participate in the government.
