  • The Cuban Missile Crisis By: Wes Richards and Elizabeth Traskos
  • OH NO!!!!!
  • Russia has an advantage!
  • The United States' citizens found out and started preparing for the worst
  • Many people created bomb shelters in case of a nuclear explosion. Schools also started "nuclear bomb drills" to protect the children.
  • In Case of Russia
  • This should protect me!
  • (Phones were not cordless during the 1960's)
  • President Kennedy and Nikita Khrushchev spoke over the phone and came to an agreement on how to peacefully settle removing the Cuban missiles without starting a nuclear war, which neither of them wanted.
  • Nikita Khrushchev ordered that the missiles be removed from Cuba after Kennedy promised he will not invade Cuba.
  • President Kennedy also promised to remove the nuclear missiles from Turkey as a part of the deal. Just like that, the Cuban Missile Crisis was solved without firing a single missile!
