Storyboard Text

  • Joan was a peasant girl. She was 13 when she heard the voice of God. God urged he to fight for Prince Charles.
  • Will he listen, I'm only a peasant girl.
  • I want to fight in the army.
  • At 17, she cuts her hair and disguises herself as a boy. Prince Charles tested her to see if God really spoke to her and she passed. She was allowed to fight in the army.
  • She lead the French army into battle. She was wounded by an arrow and pulled it out and kept fighting. After the battle, Charles was crowned King of France.
  • Ouch! I must keep fighting.
  • During one battle, she was trapped and captured. The French turned on her and held her for ransom. Charles refused to pay the ransom. The English payed the ransom and took her to a dungeon.
  • Oh, no! I'm trapped!
  • She was in the dungeon for two years before she confessed. She confessed that she didn't talk to God. She was going to be killed anyways so she took back her confession.
  • She was burnt at the stake for witchery and hierarchy.  1455, her parents looked at the cased and proved her innocent. IN 1920, she was finally considered a Saint.
  • I'm not lying, God spoke to me!
