Storyboard Text

  • Scene 1
  • Scene 2
  • Scene 3
  • There once was a woman, who was pregnant, whose husband really loved a garden belonging to an enchanter. He especially loved the rampion (Richunzel) and wanted some.  So the woman got it, so as to not put her husband in danger.
  • Scene 4
  •  Once he got it once, he wanted it again, so she tried to reach over the fence again. When she went, the enchanter was there, livid at her for stealing. The lady was terrified and explained to her she only got it because her husband wanted it so badly. The enchanter explained, he could get as much rampion as he want, at the price that she gives up her first born. The lady didnt really care, and quickly agreed because she didn't really want children anyway.
  • Scene 5
  • The enchanter locked the kid up in a tall tower, in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do. He visited from time to time, and Richunzel would use his hair to let him up when he heard him say "Richunzel, Richunzel, let down your hair". However, when he was gone his only way to past time was to sing. So that is what he did, all day, everyday.
  • Scene 6
  • One day the queens daughter was riding by on her horse and heard him singing. She looked for an entrance but couldn't find one but his voice was so lovely she listened everyday. Until one day, he stayed a little late and noticed an enchanter who said "Richunzel, Richunzel, let down your hair" and was instantly let in, by climbing the hair, that Richunzel let down.
  • The next day, she tried it. "Richunzel, Richunzel let down your hair" she cried, and sure enough, his hair fell down. At first he was scared, but she explained how much his singing had moved him, and asked for his hand in marriage. He instantly agreed, because he always wanted to be some woman's husband.
  • They planned to escape by her bringing silk everyday for her to get down, and not saying anything to the enchanter. However, one day while arguing, he let it slip about the woman he was going to marry. The enchanter felt so betrayed, he cut off Richunzels hair and casted him away to live in a desert in grief and misery. When the queen came that day she was met by the enchanter, who explained what he had done to Richunzel, and she was so beside herself in pain she lept off the tower, and pierced her eyes.
