Hello There! I am Amy and today your going to be learning about Air tempature at Poughkeepsie in upstate New York!
Although the air temperature at Poughkeepsie hasn’t changed much, if the air temperature were to change many components would be affected, such as biodiversity, habitats, and ecosystems.
Where is my food!
Climate change can cause the air temperature to increase or decrease. Climate change can greatly affect biodiversity, for example, an increased loss of fish at Poughkeepsie will affect the bird population because a big portion of their food comes from fish.
No don't hurt us, if you hurt us it will affect the rest of our friends!
Habitats and ecosystems can be afflicted by climate change as well. Ecosystems can be overwhelmed by climate change and mitigate extreme events and disturbances, such as wildfires, floods, and drought.
No, we need to stop this!
Habitats rivers will start to flood more, sand dune habitats will start to move more inland, and most of the lakes and streams have experienced a decline in water level during summer droughts. These changes are expected to continue and accelerate into the future.
The less water the less people can drink and water we can swim in!
We don't want our water levels to go down! We wan't to keep our Earth looking healthy and beautiful! So please do your part in keeping our Earth clean!:)
