Storyboard Text

  • If you are late paying your tithe your head will be chopped off.
  • The first estate or clergy had majority of the power. The clergy had all of the luxuries to them self. They were the ones to make mostly the peasants pay tithes, taxes.
  • I have very little money. You pay me hardly anything, but starving is better than having my head chopped.
  • You must pay to use the same market as me.
  • The second estate or nobles had some powers. They were able to make the the peasants pay tithes too. Some of the tithes that the nobles enforced were like if you use a road then you have to pay a toll or if you use the same market as them you have to pay.Not to mention the nobles normally didn't have too pay tithes that the clergy set.
  • Will's Market
  • Pardon me, but why? I already owe so much to the clergy and now you.
  • I have clothes like nobles and you have rags!
  • There were two types of people in the third estate and that is the Bourgeoisie and peasants. They were basically the same just one was richer. They both had to fight in the military, pay taxes, not hunt or fish on noble or clergy property, and made up 90% of the population.
  • Excuse me but do you realize that you are still third estate.
