Storyboard Text

  • Meet this Family!
  • We are a poor family in the Roman Empire. Our opinions have very little impact/influence in making Rome a better place, and sometimes many poor Romans are forced into slave labor.
  • But Meanwhile..
  • My dearest daughter Aphrodite, I would like to build another grand public work in the center of the Piazza Navona so the Plebeians can admire me, their great Emperor Claudius.
  • Father, that sounds like a wonderful idea. Shall I search the area for the perfect placing for your grand work?
  • Yes, that would be excellent! report back to me later.
  • In Rome's Piazza Navona
  • Move faster! Some of us need to make a living!
  • Hmm..why is everyone so rushed?
  • This family has expressions of worry and distress because they are mistreated by society, and the government takes advantage of their lower class.
  • In The Corridor
  • Oh no!
  • So Aphrodite embarked on her journey into the Piazza Navona, but she thought it would be best to disguise herself as to not draw attention to herself in the large crowds.
  • Returning Home
  • Aphrodite is escorted by her servant into the Piazza and notices the unhappiness of the people around her. She wonders why everyone is so angry and rushed.
  • The End!
  • Suddenly, Aphrodite walks down the wrong path into a long corridor. A small girl sees her and recognizes her. She explains how the lack of funding for the people and the investment of money into public works have negatively influenced the plebeians. Aphrodite decides that she should make a change for the better.
  • :(
  • Aphrodite returns safely and thinks about what would be the right thing to do about the issue with public works situation. She wanted to be helpful and insightful by helping her father, but she also wanted to follow her heart by helping her people.
  • What do I do?
  • Aphrodite tells her father of her experience in the Piazza and that he should cut back on funding for public works, and focus on helping the lower class of the Roman Empire. He agrees and becomes a well known and loved emperor, all thanks to his daughter Aphrodite.
