In 1995, Nike decided to open factories up in Vietnam for sportswear and they hired their first workers The Vietnam employees generally were happy to work, for there were not many other jobs available and they needed money.
Too Much Hard Work
Although it was good for them to get an opportunity to work, they still did not get paid very much, and they lived in rough conditions
Justice is coming
The Vietnam government then started to attack Nike, asking them for better pay and to stop exploiting their country. Nike ignored this.
Later Nike became Vietnam's largest foreign employer with ten factories employing 40,000 people however later Nike made some mistakes.
Many people pressurised Nike into given their workers fair pay for their workers, and continued to beg for fair pay. Soon they made a few small changes.
