Commerce Assignment - Carolyn Creswell
This storyboard does not have a description.
When the company was going to close down, Carolyn bought the company for $1000.
Unfortunately, we are closing down Carman's Fine Foods. The company will be available to buy for $1000 if you would like?
I will buy it!
Carolyn worked hard on her business during university. She was willing to sacrifice social gatherings for her business because she enjoyed working on it.
Carolyn had many struggles to get where she is now. One was getting rejected from shops.
I'm sorry to say, but we will not be continuing our sale of Carman's Fine Foods products.
But Carolyn was persistent and recalls that when Coles approached her to stock her product she knew the hard work had paid off.
We would like to stock Carman's in Coles!
Carolyn is now stocked in over 2500 shops in Australia and her company is valued at over $83 million. She now lives happily in Melbourne with her four kids and husband.
1. Think of people you work with as another family; delight your customers daily and your business will quickly thrive. 2. Have a crystal clear vision of where your business is heading and refer to it every day when decision making. 3. Write lists, prioritiseand clear your inbox every day. Learn to say “no” to things that are not important,so you can work “smarter” rather than “harder”. 4. “drive it likeyou stole it” – sometimes you just have to trust your instincts, dive deep intothe deep end and go for it. 5. Love what youdo! Your passion, drive and enthusiasm will determine your business’ success.
