  • The Buddhism teachings explain how their people follow and believe in Dharma, the Bohdi tree, the Four Noble Truths , and nirvana.
  • Hmmm... I seem to know a lot about trees and their history. What role does the Bohdi tree play in Buddhism?
  • One day, Siddhartha wandered through the forests in India for six years seeking for enlightenment, or wisdom. How tried all the ways that he could such as debating with religious seekers and fasting, and meditation under the large fig tree
  • Why would he do that? All it is is a large fig tree! How could he possibly benefit from meditating under it?
  • He came to understand the enlightenment and called his ideas the Four Noble Truths. The Four Noble Truths are the four central beliefs containing the essence of Buddhist teaching. When you got there, you would focus on the Eightfold Path which is basically a guide to behavior
  • So your telling me that this guy just meditated under a tree and called his ideas the Four Noble Truths?
  • By following the Eightfold Path, anyone could reach nirvana, the Buddha’s word for release from selfishness and pain
  • That sounds very interesting! How much more will I need to know to be apart of the Buddhists
  • The religious community, together with the Buddha and the dharma (Buddhist doctrine or teachings), make up the “Three Jewels” of Buddhism
