Let's get him!
You'd scarce expect one of my age to speak in public on the stage...
Give me liberty or give me death!
Vacation is approaching and the schoolmaster Mr. Dobbins is handing out more punishment than ever. The boys, angry, decide hatch a plan and seek revenge.
The night of the examination rolls around and the orations begin. The conspirators take their places.
One by one, students recite their prepared literature. Eventually, Tom soars into the, "Give me liberty or give me death" speech but stumbles in his monologue and shamefully returns to his place.
After all of the presentations are done, the master begins to draw a rendering of America on his blackboard and enters into an oblivious focus.
The boys, seize the opportunity and begin to orchestrate their plan. They slowly and carefully lower a gagged cat in harness so it is right above the master's head.
Flailing its arms in order to try to escape, the cat grabs hold of the master's wig and clings on. The cat is swiftly hoisted back up with the wig in its paws revealing the master's shiny, bald head.
