  • There once was a king and queen in France named King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, who cared more about their legacy than their people.
  • 4. The Second Estate
  • The France citizens at the time were divided into three different estates, the social divsion of France.
  • 5. The Third Estate
  • The First Estate were the clergy, included bishops, priests cardinals. They made up only 1% of the population and only owned 10% of the land.
  • 6. Third Estate's Struggles
  • The second estate were the noblity, consisted of the king's friends and family, landlords and the aristocrats. They made up 2% of the population, and owned 25% of the land.
  • The lowest social class, the third estate, made up of peasants and the bourgeoisies; the middle-class citizens which included trades people and even lawyers and bankers. They are 97% of France’s population, and owned 65% of the land.
  • With the nation in great debt, the third estate struggle to maintain their lives, starving, looking for food like rats on the streets.
  • When will the King ever help us?!
