Before the time of Moses' birth, Hebrew tribes had lived and prospered in Egypt. But the new Pharaoh of Egypt felt threatened by the strength and influence of the Israelite's.
Pharaoh ordered his soldiers to enslave the Hebrew people and set cruel taskmasters over them. Without a moments rest, the Hebrews were forced to build the stone cities of Pithom and Raamses
Although oppressed, the Israelites continued to multiply. They remained proud and spirited. The king of Egypt grew determined and finally commanded his people to cast every newborn Hebrew son into the Nile.
CAST EVERY NEWBORN HEBREW SON!
A son was born to a couple named Arnam and Jochebed. Just then, The Pharaoh's daughter with her maidens came to bathe at the river.
The baby's sister Miriam asked theprincess to nurse her brother. She agreed so Miriam went to fetch her mother. The princess agreed and unknowingly asked the own baby's mother to raise him!
Take this child and nurse him for me. I will give you wadges.

So the mother took her child and raised him. The child grew and was brought to Pharaoh's daughter and became her son. She named him Moses. Moses grew up an Egyptian prince in the luxury of Pharaoh's court.
