"If I was going to make a move on you, Lise, I wouldn't do it at home"
John asks Lise if she would like to brain storm about the murders at his house. Lise was quite confused why John would ask her and was hesitant on answering. John says, " I won't inflict my cooking on you. We can can order in pizza." She agrees and they leave to his house to brainstorm.
The two detectives drive in separate cars out to Cardinals freezing little cottage on Madonna Road.
Cardinal had build a fire in the wood stove. He showed her some carpentry work he'd done in the kitchen, than a huge landscape painted by his daughter-a view of trout lake with the NORAD base in the background when she was twelve years old.
Lise mentions that John must miss his family and as we think he would be saddened, he simply shrugs it off and calls the two pizza.
As the two began pitching idea to one another about the killer, the phone rings and soon after the call ends, John gets his coat on and looked for his keys. John had forgotten a press-conference and insisted that Lise stays for the pizza and to make sure it doesn't go cold.
Once Cardinal leave, Lise decides to begin searching for any clues that would give her any evidence that connects John to Corbett. As she looks through Johns personal files, she stumbles onto John's tax returns. On them, she finds large purchases a few weeks after the failed attempts at capturing Kyle Corbett. These large purchases make Lise believe that he was the rat in their task force, with enough evidence, she immediately leaves John's house, not staying for John to come back.
