  • The first slaves to arrive in America were 16 slaves that were shipped by Dutch traders to Jamestown, Virginia, in 1619.
  • The Abolitionist Movement Gains Support in the North and from Women
  • We fight for the rights of Afican-Americans
  • Fredrick Douglass protested slavery by using important documents like, The Constitution and The Declaration of Independence against the people who supported slavery.
