Macbeth visits the witches again and they warn him of a number of things. Macbeth leaves confident in himself. However a letter is sent to Lady Macbeth telling her to leave as she is in danger.
ACT 5 Scene 2+3
I’ll fight till from my bones my flesh be hacked. Macbeth
Malcom and Macduff discuss the unhappy Scotland and the tyrant Macbeth. Macduff finds out of his family's death and plans to kill Macbeth in his anger. The scene ends with Macduff preparing for war.
ACT 5 Scene 4-5
Let every soldier hew him down a bough Macduff
A doctor and a maid watch Lady Macbeth as she sleepwalks. She shows her guilt by washing her hands as she imagines blood on them. This reveals to the doctor the terrible things she and Macbeth have done.
ACT 5 Scene 6-9
Macbeth hears of Malcom's approach and prepares for war. Lady Macbeth continues to decline as the doctor is of no hope and suggests she sees a priest instead.
Malcom's soldiers cut down the trees from Birnam wood. Macbeth is made aware of Lady Macbeth's death but is quickly told that Birnam wood is approaching. This is where he realises he has been tricked and prepares for battle.
In a fight Macduff reveals he was cut from his mother's womb rather than given birth to naturally. Macbeth realises the witches were right and is then killed by Macduff. Macduff announces Malcom is the rightful King.
