  • I am Maynard Jackson, I was the first black mayor of a major southern city, Atlanta. I Helped expand the airport, and in 2003 in honor of my passing the airport was renamed "Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
  • Andrew Young, was mayor of Atlanta in 1982 and a U.N. Ambassador in 1977. He alongside Maynard Jackson and Jimmy Carter fought to bring the 1996 Summer Olympics to Atlanta.
  • This is the 39th president of the U.S., Jimmy Carter. Carter is best know for either his failure with the Iran Hostage Crisis, or his success with the Camp David Accords. The Iran Hostage Crisis was when 66 American were held hostage in Iran for 444 days. The Camp David Accords were successful peace talks with Israel and Egypt.
  • It is so great the Olympics are coming to Atlanta, they are going to improve our lighting, trees, and sidewalks in downtown now.
  • Wait seriously?!? This is great!
  • And if you look over here you will see Centennial Park...
  • Yeah, it even created more jobs for people, those Olympics were great for us.
  • You know, ever since the 1996 Olympics, there have been way more tourists here.
  • The film industry in Georgia is huge. Billions in state income are from filming. It offers millions of jobs and all kind of state revenue. It brings tourist too because they want to see where their favorite movie/T.V. show was filmed.
