It is not normal for someone in such a low rank to speak to his superiors like that.
"I pray now, keep below."
The boatswain is now getting angry and insulting his superiors because they will not listen to him and go down below the boat.
When the sea is. Hence! trouble us not.
The boatswain is again getting very angry at his superiors, so Antonio joins in and insults him to make him shut up
Hang, cur! Hang, you whoreson, insolent noisemaker! We are less afraid to be drowned than thou art.
Gonzalo is now thinking that they should give over and head back to sea because the boat is very weak.
I'll warrant him for drowning; though the ship were no stronger than a nutshell and as leaky as an unstanched wench.
The Boatswain has now taken the decision to set the boat back to sea.
Lay her a-hold, a-hold! set her two courses off to sea again; lay her off.
Everybody on the ship is now terrified of going back to sea as they don't know what will meet their fate.
