Storyboard Text

  • "A Shocking Accident" Graham Greene He was born October 2nd 1904 in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, England. He died April 3rd 1991. He was an English writer, short story writer, playwrighter, and journalist.
  • Jerome- protagonist, story follows him for several years Jerome's father-  no sense of humor, his death changed the story a lot
  • Jerome's father is killed by a falling pig. The pig symbolizes the stress and depression on people and the father symbolizes the people. The death symbolizes people giving up when things get too hard emotionally.
  • The main conflict was very hard on Jerome. Jerome had to learn to live without his dad/best friend. He went through a lot of struggles with his fathers death. Although it was hard on him, Jerome did learn over the years how to cope with his fathers death.
  • Jerome taught himself how to cope. He realized death is a part of life and continued on, although hard on him.
  • I think this story was to teach us to struggles and burdens in life will bring you down if you let them. But also more used as a turning point or eye opener to show people you have to be strong.
