Storyboard Text

  • Romulus and Remus were the twin sons of the war god Mars and Rhea Sylvia .
  • Being as    Rhea Silvia was part of the Vestal  Virgins, a group of woman set to keep Vesta's hearth burning, the king could not  allow her sons to live. He ordered them to be thrown in the river Tiber.
  • THROW THEM IN THE RIVER!!!!!!!!!!!
  • The boys drifted down the river and came ashore at  Ficus Ruminalis. There, they were rescued by a she-wolf and a woodpecker, two sacred animals of Mars.
  • The she-wolf cared for Romulus and Remus  until they were adopted by a local herdsman named  Faustelus   and his wife, Acca Larienta.
  • Poor children!
  • As the boys grew they learned who they were. Together they founded a city. There was a quarrel over naming rights, and eventually Remus is killed in a fit of jealousy.
