I must tax the people because I am completely entitled to do so!
Philip ordered his men to go to Italy and retreive Boniface. When he got to France, Boniface would be commanded to stand trial for speaking agianst the King.
Boniface dares to challenge me and the things I am entitled to! No! Commander, take the troops and go to Italy and retreive the Pope, he will face trial here.
Yes, your majesty. We will not let you down!
Boniface was able to escape from the troops that came to retrieve him. It wasn't soon after that he died from shock.
I must get away from them. I shouldn't have to stand trial for upholding the rules of the clergy even if the church is falling apart.
Boniface, me and my men are to take you to France to stand trial. This is by order of King Phillip IV.
