  • The nuns discussing their journey
  • Someone named Bishop Stewart from Australia asked us to go there and build a school
  • Well, as we say Thy Will Be Done!
  • On the boat to Australia
  • December 1960
  • When are we landing in Australia?
  • They arrived in Melbourne before travelling to Nathalia
  • Bishop Stuart invited the nuns to come to Australia and start a parish school
  • The parents of the children attending the school provided the money
  • Where are we going to get the money?!
  • All the money is going to be raised and the Church is supplying the land
  • Let's build the Covenant, sisters!
  • They arrived on boat in December 1960
  • This is the Nuns building the school. They're fast workers.
  • Archbishop Mannix greeted them in Melbourne
  • The school opened in 1961
  • St Mary of the Angels
  • Thy Will Be Done
  • The church provided the land but the parents and parishioners had to raise the rest of the money
  • The convent was the first building they built because the nuns needed somewhere to sleep!
  • 120 primary students and 5 secondary students started when the school was built. There is now 656 students and 3 school houses. The school houses are named Claire, Francis and Elizabeth.
