Storyboard Text

  • Hello who are you?
  • I'm Francis and i know where you can find an amazing story to write.
  • To help better understand your story i'm going to ask you lots of question. What was your childhood like?
  • I had a good childhood. When i was younger i was made fun of because of my name but then I changed it to PI and i became more comfortable with it.
  • Life of Pi By Yann Martel
  • Growing up I found that I was interested in being apart of many different religions including Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism
  • Wow!! That's crazy.
  • one day I was sitting in a coffee shop in the town of Pondicherry, India. A writer looking for a story to write. A strong older looking Indian man approaches me
  • So, I went where Francis told me to go and I met Piscine Patel aka as Pi. He told me the story of his life and his journey lost at sea with a tiger!
  • My family and I set off on our journey to Canada. We were all scared of what was to come but my father new we couldn't stay in India with our leader, Gandi.
  • Pi told me more about his childhood and his life in India. I began to realize what an interesting, nice, and open minded person he was.
  • Each day I came back to his house and he had more stuff to tell me. Finally Pi began to tell me the story which is what this book is based upon.
  • The story however is best told in his perspective. So, let me take you back in time. Pi's ordeal begins on July 2, 1977.
