Well...lately Kevin's father has been absent as he is often on business trips. Two months ago Kevin lost his grandfather so I think he is missing a male figure in his life. I do my best but I'm afraid he thinks he is the man in the house now.
I would like to start by saying that we have seen some positive behaviour in Kevin. Last week, for example, he helped Carl walk down the stairs. You know, Carl has had crutches for the past three weeks and he really appreciated Kevin's help! We know he is very sweet. Is anything happening in his private life that might be worrying him at the moment?
I know that Kevin can do well if he puts his mind to it, do you think it would be a good idea to exchange phone numbers so I can call you will positive happenings from his lessons? It would be nice for him to not only receive praise from me but also to hear that you are proud of him and heard the good news when he gets home after school. This way he knows that we are in contact and this creates a structure for him.
