  • John Adams, a direct decendent of the puritans, was born on a farm in Quincy Massachussets in the year of 1735. John is named after his father and was taught by him because he was a Harvard graduate and John Adams Jr learned how to write before even entering school.
  • Presidency
  • John Adams grew up to study law and became a graduate from Harvard collage, an ivy leage school, after being taught by his father who had also graduated from Harvard.
  • After Presidency
  • After he finished at Harvard, he then went onto become a lawyer and a good one at that. He defended the British who were involved in the Boston massacre and also went onto defend many more people, and most of his cases were successful.
  • John Adams ended up running for president in 1796. He won the presidency by only a few votes but was the choice that everyone ended up agreeing on because of a few reasons, including the fact that he was vice president, a great lawyer and was well respected.
  • After presidency John Adams moved back to his farm and continued to be friends with Thomas Jefferson until the day that he died. He died on July 4th 1826, the 50th anniversary of our independence. his last words supposedly were "Thomas Jefferson survives"
