  • I need this month's taxes good sir, they were raised. The King needs a new coat.
  • What?! Another raise in taxes, I can barely afford to feed my family.
  • We need a French Constitution!
  • France had a very bad economy. King Louis was known to some people a tyrant, He would tax for personal items for him and his family. The people are paying for protection, not for the King's pleasure.
  • This is representing the meeting of the states general. This was the first meeting of the general estates since 1614. This was mainly the first and second estates meeting up in this event. These are the nobles and common people.
  • The tennis court oath is only the third estate. Which they started to call themselves the national assembly. The whole meaning is to get more represntation because they are the last class. They would not stop until a french Constitution was made.
