  • The French Revolution by King Louis XVI
  • We are writing the year 1789, France was in big debt. King Louis XVI tried to solve this problem and called a meeting of the estates general. This was the first meeting they had since 1614. King Louis wanted to get rid of the debt by raising the taxes for the peasants and letting the clergy and the nobles pay a little bit of taxes too.
  • We can´t hear anything
  • Nobody cares you stupid Peasents

  • As the Third Estate couldn´t hear anything they went to a tennis court to create the National Assembly and make a Constitution
  • Bastille Prison 14 July 1789
  • Down with the Bastille 
  • On the 14th of July 1789, the peasants attacked the Bastille prison in order to get ammunition for their weapons and to destroy a symbol of the power of King Louis XVI. They were successful and even paraded through the streets with Bernard Launey´s head on a stick.
