  • In this scene Frederick fell down because he was sick, and Mr. covey is going to hit him with a hickory slack because he can't get up.
  • Get up!
  • Frederick is now walking through the woods, and has to walk by seven miles of briers and bogs barefoot.
  • ouch my head...
  • Frederick is telling Mr. Thomas his master that Mr.covey is trying to kill him .
  • Mr. covey hit me in the head he is trying to kill me
  • Mr. covey wouldn't do that. Now get yourself cleaned up and you will return to the farm in the morning.
  • Now Frederick has returned to the farm, and is hiding from Mr. Covey who is looking for him and trying to hurt him.
  • Come on just take it. It wouldn't hurt to carry around.
  • Frederick meets an old friend named Sandy Jenkins. He told Frederick too take the root in his hand for good luck.
  • Hmm, alright.
  • Stop I won't hurt you anymore.
  • In this last scene Frederick, and Mr. Covey had fought for a long time and Mr. Covey lost. Ever since then he has not put a finger on Frederick again.
