  • EXPOSITION
  • CONFLICT
  • RISING ACTION
  • A boy named Bruno has friends in city.  He is innocent, and unaware of the discrimination of Jews.  He is forced to move with his family to a home near Auschwitz, becuase his father is the head of the concentration camp..  Bruno doesn't like it near Auschwitz, because he has no friends.
  • CLIMAX
  • At the new house, Bruno gets board, and disobeys his parents wishes by going behind the house.  Behind the house he finds a boy behind on the other side of a fence.  The boys name is Shmuel.  He is Jewish.  Shmuel and Bruno become friends.  
  • FALLING ACTION
  • Bruno starts to notice, the pain and suffering that Jews go through.  The servant that works at Bruno's house gets killed by one of the Nazi officers in one part of the movie.
  • RESOLUTION
  • Bruno's family wants to leave new house, but Bruno has adjusted to it and doesn't want to leave Shmuel.  He has the idea of going under the fence, to live with Shmuel, and to help Shmuel find his father.  Bruno is unaware of the conditions of the concentration camp, because he saw a deceiving video that made the camps look enticing. 
  • Once Bruno is in the concentration camp, he and Shmuel are pushed into a gas chamber with a large group of men.  During this time, Bruno's family is searching for him.  They find the hole that Bruno dug under the fence.  His father goes in through the front gate.  
  • .Bruno's family was too late.  The movie ends with Bruno's father, mother, and sister crying, because they have just lost a loving, innocent, and unaware family member.  Bruno wouldn't have died if it wasn't for his father, and the rest of the Nazi's that caused such pain and suffering
