Storyboard Text

  • You are at a Whites-Only counter. I can serve you here!
  • We would like four cups of coffee. No sugar.
  • I beg to disagree with you. You just finished serving me at a counter only two feet from here.
  • Well, that was Color-Only counter.
  • Then we shall be here until we are served.
  • African-Americans were denied service at "White-Only" counters.
  • Few Days Later
  • These four men protest by sitting on the counter until they're served.
  • Ok, ok. Here's your cup of coffee.
  • More and more people would come to protest with them. Most were colored, but there were some whites.
  • After there was so many protesters the restaurants would serve blacks, eventually getting rid of "White-Only" counters.
