What happened to our house Billy?
Dad lost his job and mom did not make a lot so we got kicked out.
The Great Depression was terrible. There were starving kids, homeless families, low wages, loss of jobs and so much more. It began in 1929 and it ended in 1939.
Children were homeless due to their parents not being able to pay for the rent so they were kicked out of their homes. The pay was so low they could not afford their bills.
Most women did not lose their job instead they got lower wages. Most women jobs were teachers.
Alright, class settle down so I can start my lesson.
Families and children's lives began to get better due to new deals.
