  • How: The example that Summer is dedicated to her grandmother represents ethos because it builds credibility about her. Why: It lets us know her character trait about how she feels toward her grandma.
  • How: The statistic shows how the students are struggling a lot right now. Why: Summer has to decide if she wants to go to the art institution or stay home and help her grandmother because money is an issue in their family.
  • How: Summers parents both left by the age of 7 and was left to get raised by her grandma for the rest of her life represents pathos because it shows pity. Why: It shows that she still moved on with her life and helps her grandma out even though nobody in her early childhood helped her when things got hard.
