The sea was so nice and beautiful and full. But then one day something happened.
The Russians started to dry up the Aral sea in the 1960's. The sea started to look really bad.
And the way it is shrinking is the 2 rivers, the Amu Darya and the Syr Darya, it is fed off of was diverted by the soviet irrigation projects.
Most of the water has dried up so now it don't really look like a sea anymore and there was boats found in the bottom of the sea. And still to today the sea is still shrinking.
