Hi, my name is Matthew, and I would like to share some facts about water and how you can save water at home.
As you can see, we don't have a lot of water at our disposal, because more than 97% of the world's water is not healthy to use. Another 2% is locked up in ice caps and glaciers, so we have less than 1% of the world's water to use for ourselves.
Try intalling an aerator into your kitchen sink. It creates air pockets in the stream, meaning that you get the same amount of pressure with less water.
Ironically, most water gets used in the bathroom. I mean, just look at all of these fixtures! Try installing low flow shower heads and faucets. Also, reduce your showers to 5 minutes or less.
Did you know that washing your car at home rather than going through an automated car wash uses more water? Also, a car wash uses up to 35 gallons. Try using a water-less car wash to save on water.
Less than 1% of all water in the world is fit to be used for our own purposes. Remember to conserve water, so then we can continue to live for many years.
