- 1510, Martin Luther was sent to Rome on an errand for his order.
- Luther's first look at the selling of indulgences
- He was shocked by the lack of morality and piety of the local clergy,

- Luther having to answer to the church for his breaking of the law which was him doing the right thing
- Luther then spent the rest of his life changing the bible and in hiding.
