  • Popular sovereignty is what the people want
  • September 15, 1858
  • There should be no slave state boarders
  • Because there should be no slave states
  • Because the people will decide which states will be slave
  • The Lincoln-Douglas debates were seven debates that were held in Illonis.
  • September 18, 1858
  • Blacks need to know who is the superior race
  • They had these debates so the people could hear each of the candidates' views.
  • October 7 1858
  • Keep trying
  • I will prove you are an abolitionist!
  • As more debates were held their popularity began to spread through the country.
  • October 13, 1858
  • Salvery is wrong and unjust. It should be put to an end
  • More and more people began to show up at the debates. This added many new fans to each candidate
  • We should not have to torture blacks to show that whites are the soupier
  • The fifth debate was mostly about how Douglas wanted to prove Lincoln as an abolitionist. At this debate 15,000 people showed up.
  • This debate captured the eyes of 12,000 people as again the topic of slavery was brought up
  • Slavery is the only way blacks will understand whites are and will alway be better
