There was a girl named Rico, she lived in New York and walked home from school everyday. She dreaded this part of her day though because she would have to walk through the nice part of town, the part she didn't live in.
She lived in the inner city, not too fa from old rundown areas. She wished that she could live in nicer parts but knew she couldn't just yet, since her parents had immigrated from the Dominian Republic over a year ago. They weren't making enough money to buy a nice house.
When she was younger her parents had always dreamed of moving to America and always talked about it anytime they'd see tourists from america visit their small shop.
Ever since she moved, Rico was determined to get out of the ghetto and buy a nice, big house for her parents. So she worked hard in school and would often spend her nights and weekends in the library studying.
At the end of her senior year she had graduated top of her class, recieved countless scholarships, and got into the college of her dreams.
Because of her parents hard work, along with hers, Rico got her dream job. And in the end bought her parents a beautiful home.
