Storyboard Text

  • Sure, Lets go in the living room
  • Mom, can we talk about something?
  • I mean I guess I could try, I just don't know how.
  • I wanted to talk about how much you've been drinking lately. I was wondering if you would quit drinking for me?
  • That's okay, there are alot of recovery options. And we can look up the steps to recovery.
  • Okay, that sounds like a good idea. I do admit I drink too much and I'm not setting a good example for you.
  • Okay, I'm so glad you talked to me about this. Let's go see a therapist to talk more.
  • It says here that the first step to recover is admitting that you need help, which you've already did just a second ago. The next step is detoxification, which means you have to adjust to not drinking. And we should probably see a threapist to change the alcoholic behaviors.
  • Thank you so much for helping me, I'll be back next Tuesday to update you on my recovery
  • Recovring will be hard, but me and your daughter are both here for you at all times.
  • One Month Later
  • I'm doing really great. You and my daughter are a big help!
  • So how have you been doing, do you feel like you've made progress?
