Exposition: My name is Eliza. I am a cook at the Cook Coffeehouse. I work with Mattie, Mattie's mother, and Grandfather.
Rising Action: After Mattie and Grandfather left, I went to my families house. My family decided that we are going to join the Free African Society to help people who have the yellow fever. I was walking to someone's house and I saw Mattie!! Mattie came running over with a little girl named Nell in her arms.
Rising Action: Then I took Mattie and Nell to my house. I asked Mattie if she wanted to help me take care of people that are sick. She agreed to help. A few months later the twins and Nell got sick. Then Mattie and I took them to the coffeehouse.
Climax: It was early in the morning and I was still sleeping. Then all of a sudden Mattie woke me up. Mattie was really excited. I asked her why and she said that the frost finally came. I told Mattie we finally made it!
Falling Action: After the frost came the twins and Nell were starting to get better. A few days later President Washington came back to Philadelphia. We went to see him and then Mattie started running towards someone. That someone was her mother. Then Mattie and I opened the Cook Coffeehouse.
Resolution: After the yellow fever was finally coming to an end, I learned a few things. One of the things that I learned was helping people can go along way. Helping people makes me feel good in the end.
