Storyboard Text

  • The 30 Year War was started by a religious civil war. It was between the Roman Catholics and the Protestants in Germany.
  •
  •
  • Protestants soon got angry at the royalist and threw them out of windows. Which would officially led to the war.
  • Oliver Cromwell tried to reduce the religious activities of his people. This caused people to rebel among Protestants.
  • This soon led to a war between the Royalist and Protestants. The Royalist lost because there were so many lower class people (lower class people were most likely Protestant)
  • They signed a treaty called The Treaty of Westphalia. This was signed on October 24th 1648. This led to the end of the 30 year war.
  • Jing Charles took over the kingdom after the old king was decapitated for his wrongdoings. Later the people dug up the old king an dragged him on the streets as a sign of disrespect.
